Maths Fun
This week the children had lots of fun with maths ....
We even took maths into our PE lesson by counting our jumps...

All Around the World - Handa's Surprise
What a fantastic start to our new topic, 'All Around the World'. The children have enjoyed sharing the story of Handa's Surprise, tasting different fruits featured in the story and locating their origin on the globe. We were lucky enough to have a visit from Kwame who shared music and art from his home country of Ghana. The children throughly enjoyed his music and were inspired to have a go back in the classroom. "The man was banging a drum very loud." Dylan 'Its a long way away and you have to go on a plane. He lives in a village." Enes "The music was lovely." Nayana The children continued with African drumming in their music sessions this week. The children experimented cut up fruits and paint to make printed pictures... They have enjoyed using the travelling machine in the classroom I wonder where it will take us next week?
Planting out the beans
This week, during our welly walk , Foxes planted out the broad beans they had grown from seed into our raised flower beds in our sensory garden.
